Coast & Southern is a Home and Lifestyle Brand focused on buying, selling and creating authentic spaces for homeowners throughout the south. Principal designer Kristin Sheehan is both an interior designer and real estate professional with over twenty + years of experience creating and marketing beautiful and personalized properties for her clientele. Kristin’s 24+ years of experience in the real estate industry have given her unique insights into returns on investment, specific locations, and the ability to blend interior design with an authentic lifestyle that is true to oneself throughout the process.

The design space for Coast & Southern is located in Hickory Flat. It contains antique furniture, collected pieces and relics from beautiful old homes and buildings, and meant to add uniqueness to any space. Kristin believes you should absolutely collect a piece per room that is a conversation starter, and that tells a story. In addition, she features a curated collection of designer favorites, ideal for adding a touch of style to your home.

Kristin and her family also own a cottage in the mountains, right outside Highlands, NC, that allows her to get away to search for mountain properties, and guide friends and clients to do the same. It was a dream since childhood to recreate her favorite place, her grandparents upstate NY lake cottage named “Camp”. Smaller homes with character that evoke emotion and bring back great childhood memories of floating on the lake, staring at sunsets, counting the stars, and country drives, are some of her favorite things that stir up fresh perspective, creativity and new ideas. It is important be inspired by your surroundings, and a place to take solace and step back into time and the way YOU want to live your life, not fall into the everyday trends.

Kristin likes to paint the picture and offer her clientele inspiration on ideas, decor, furniture, and layouts to curate a beautiful result. From rearranging furniture, to paint selection to decor refreshes, consultation, guidance, and advisement, Kristin Sheehan and the design team bring together cohesive design experiences and authentic environments.
